Founded in 1946, BFS Industries, LLC has been dedicated to producing the finest equipment available through no-nonsense engineering. By adhering to a policy of “honesty first”, BFS has grown from modest beginnings in Brooklyn, NY to today’s industry leader at their new facility in Butner, NC. BFS offers the widest variety of deaerator designs in the industry. There is truly no job too big or small for BFS.
Following please find a brief listing of some of the products BFS Industries manufactures.
Boiler Feed System:
- Total packaging including tank, stand and baseplate, pumps, pump suction piping and control panel for single source responsibility
- Available tank options include: Apexior internal lining, stainless steel, and galvanized
- Optional steam preheater to heat boiler feed water and minimize thermal shock in boiler
A “true” deaerator will reduce the oxygen to the .005cc/l level and the carbon dioxide to zero.
ALL BFS DEAERATORS ARE “TRUE” DEAERATORS
Spray Type Deaerator:
- BFS Spray Type deaerator is a two stage deaerator. Water is sprayed into a pressurized steam atmosphere (1st stage) in order to preheat and partially deaerate the incoming water. The water is then directed to the scrubber (2nd stage) where it is violently scrubbed to remove the final traces of oxygen
- BFS engineered, all stainless steel non binding, spring loaded spray valve will self adjust to produce a thin conical spray pattern at any load
- Pump suctions are oversized, positioned above the tank bottom and equipped with BFS engineered stainless steel vortex breakers
- Sizes range from 3500#/hr thru 1,000,000#/hr and large
Tray Type Deaerator:
- BFS Tray Type deaerator is a two stage deaerator. Water is sprayed into the steam atmosphere (1st stage) of the tray column where it is heated to within two degrees of the steam temperature in the deaerator. The water then falls onto the banks of trays (2nd stage) where it flows from tray layer to tray layer while coming in direct contact with counter flowing steam to remove the final traces of oxygen
- BFS engineered #430 stainless steel high efficiency trays
- BFS engineered all stainless steel non binding, spring loaded spray valve will self adjust to produce a thin conical spray pattern at any load
- Pump suctions are oversized, positioned above the tank bottom and equipped with BFS engineered stainless steel vortex breakers
- BFS Tray Type deaerator is tailored to fit the power cycle and operating conditions of the actual plant in which it will be installed
- Sizes range from 3500#/hr. thru 2,000,000#/hr. and larger
Packed Column Type Deaerator:
- BFS Packed Column Type deaerator is a two stage deaerator. Water is sprayed into the steam atmosphere of (1st stage) of the packed column where it is heated to within two degrees of the steam temperature in the deaerator. The water then falls directly onto the stainless steel packing (2nd stage) where it flows over, under and thru the packing while coming in direct contact with counter flowing steam to remove the final traces of oxygen
- Vertical steel column and all stainless steel high efficiency, packing designed to maximize exposure to the oxygen free steam atmosphere
- BFS engineered all stainless steel non binding, spring loaded spray valve will self adjust to produce a thin conical spray pattern at any load
- Pump suctions are oversized, positioned above the tank bottom and equipped with BFS engineered stainless steel vortex breakers
- Sizes range from 200#/hr. thru 125,000#/hr and larger. Small boilers can now get the benefits of a true BFS engineered deaerator
Class I Tank Insulating Systems:
- Finally, a factory installed BFS engineered Insulation System that can survive the rigors of shipping, rigging and installation. Unlike its metal jacketed predecessors, this system will flex and return to its original shape without affecting its integrity or appearance. Velcro seams make removal for inspection or repairs a simple procedure. The leather-like heavy duty vinyl jacket is both durable and attractive and can easily be washed down
- “R” value = 12.5
- Exceeds ASHRAE standards and Federal Energy Policy Act 1992
- Poly-foam insulating material, 3 1/8” thickness
